Material, oval in shape, this armchair has distinctive flowing lines, reminding the silhouette of a seashell. Influenced by the Scandinavian style, this model was born in 2002 by the hands of a world-known architect and designer of Spanish origins Patricia Urquiola, taking the name Fjord.

First, it was introduced as an armchair, but immediately after was completed with a set of other items, including a relax armchair, a pouf of different sizes, and a pair of barstools.

Like the natural cycle of materials, regenerates and rebirths, take new forms; just like that, the structure of Fjord evolved, keeping a classical shape of the oval seashell split in two halves, while the other one will alter and turn into an asymmetrical shape.

Today we have the relaxed armchair Fjord, my personal favorite from the collection, with its clean lines and asymmetrical form. Its avant-garde shape made it a TIMELESS DESIGN OBJECT with sinuous lines, ergonomic sitting, and perfect stitches, modern and sophisticated.

It has a swivel square base made of steel, with a powder coat finish proposed in 6 different colors: White Chalk (RAL 9002), Traffic Red (RAL 3020), Oxidored (RAL3009), Cacao (NCS S 7010-Y 90R), Ink (PANTONE 5463), and Black (RAL 9005). The structure of the armchair is injected with flame-retardant polyurethane foam over an internal steel frame, available with fixed upholstery (stitched to the structure) or designed for the addition of a cotton gel quilt with covering in fabric or leather at choice.

The relaxed armchair may be accompanied by a pouf Fjord, always asymmetric by shape, available in three sizes: small 40*50 h33 cm, medium 75*55 h35 cm, and large 110*75 h38 cm. They are made of injected fire-proof polyurethane foam with the base in thermoformed shock-absorbent black plastic and covered in fabric or leather at choice.

As part of the collection, we also have an armchair and two barstools Fjord, but on a stainless-steel sled base, or powder-coated White Chalk (RAL 9005) or Black (RAL 9005). The structure is in injected flame-resistant polyurethane foam over an internal steel frame, durable and comfortable. The coating is stitched to the structure, available in fabric or leather at choice.

At last, we have the armchair Fjord H. for indoor and outdoor use. The base is the same, made in stainless-steel or painted White Chalk (RAL 9005) or Black (RAL 9005); while the shell is made of a multilayer techno polymer white or glossy white-black inside, matt outside.
