Agrias is amongst the most beautiful butterflies in the world. Agrias Amydon distributes from Mexico to Bolivia, found in central Peru, and Amazonas state, Brazil.

It has a warm color palette, where the predominant color is a tint of yellow with dark brown, almost black framing. Some vivid orange patches decorate the upper wings, and light blue spots are present on the lower branches. Altogether, it is a warm and striking combination scheme that we can use as inspiration to brighten up a living space.

How could we transform it into a decoration scheme? Using the same proportion of colors and pigments and balancing well between the structure (flooring, walls, and ceiling) and furniture and decorative pieces, such as:

versione light

For flooring, choose a light warm marble, like Serpeggiante, or if you prefer a more generous feeling, then go for parquet in Maple or Light Oak. The less expensive option for walls will be using paint in color as Light Ivory RAL 1015. However, if you’re looking for some sophistication, you could use wallpaper with big green leaves to recall Amazonian woods, the natural habitat of these butterflies. The ceiling must remain pure white, but if you wish to make it more appealing, apply a molding centrally, where the chandelier will be.

versione dark

Fixtures, such as doors and windows, would be perfect in Oystery White RAL 1013 to brighten up the interior, or on the contrary, choose them in Graphite Black 9011 or a Chocolate Brown 8017 for a moody atmosphere. Details, such as the structure of a table, or the shades of a chandelier, will look modern and sophisticated in varnished black, nickel, or gold.

The furniture and some compliments in the room, such as the TV-composition and coffee tables, would look fresh in a light grey as the color Papyrus White RAL 9018 and in exotic woods like Zebrano and Ebony. For upholstery items, such as sofas, armchairs, or beds, I would upholster in a fabric of Saffron Yellow RAL 1017. To bring energy and warmth into the room, choose the curtains in an orange tint on good quality cotton or velvety fabric. I prefer an intense terracotta color, as could be RAL 2002 Vermilion.

Altogether must be a harmonious living space to enjoy daytime and evenings.

Nadiya
