The road was quite a struggle because there is more than 1 000 km from where we live. Although in Italy there is a great network of highway roads, it’s weary to make it all in one day (better airplane to Brindisi or Bari airports). However, I must say that when arrived at the destination, it’s enchanting. Puglia is so beautiful for its wide lands with olive trees, long sandy beaches, and clear transparent water! Perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature!
While we were there on vacation, apart from taking the sun, relax under umbrellas, and swimming, we took the time to make some trips. We visited some spots on the land, like the beautiful ancient city Alberobello. And did some trips on the boat. I think that in any vacation it’s a must-have to explore surroundings, just to see up close the culture that lives there, taste some typical dishes, talk to the people, learn some new traditions. Altogether enriches us culturally and spiritually!
One of the best trips we did this time was a boat trip of 3 hours with Vie del Mediterraneo Tour Operator (www.viedelmediterraneo.net), from morning till lunchtime. It started from Porto Cesareo to Punta Prosciutto. First, we arrived at Torre Castiglione, where we took a refreshing bath in the blue Caribbean waters. Afterward near the Island Chianca followed by snorkeling with local fishes near the rocking coast. And continue with another snorkeling in deeper waters to see the submerged Greek-Roman columns. The trip concluded with a short passage to the Rabbits island for a small walk across the flora and fauna of these lands. Great time to enjoy in the water and on land to relax and good company!
Have you ever been to these places? What was the most excited you saw in Puglia? Would you come back for another time?
Thank you for being with me today and see you soon for another post from my favorite places.
With my best wishes,
Nadiya
