Isamu Noguchi was born in Los Angeles, son an American writer of Irish origin and a Japanese poet. He becomes a Japanese American artist and landscape architect.

Eileen Gray was born in Ireland in 1878 but got her studies in painting at the Slade School of Fine Arts in London, and later moved with her family to France in 1907, where she lived and worked until 1976 when she passed away.

Portuguese merchants brought the first orange trees from Asia in the late 15th and early 16th century, along with the name Sanskrit naranga, which gradually became part of several European languages: naranja in Spanish, laranja in Portuguese, and orange in English. Therefore, comes the origin of the name ORANGE.

However, oranges (the plant itself and its cultivation) became popular in northern Europe only in the 17th century because of the invention creating heated greenhouse for plants, a construction type known today as an “orangerie”.

The Italian producer FLOU, who introduced the concept of uniting great design and good sleeping, was founded by Rosario Messina (and his partners) in 1978 at Meda, a city on the North of Milan, a company which he will own entirely, with the purpose to create beds of elevated comfortability, quality, and unique design style.

Today is the day I share a small selection of design objects to inspire your Home Décor Styles! It is a series I write every week on my blog, and soon I will start doing the same on my YouTube channels (with a longer list and additional technical information, which is easier to explain by telling, then by writing).
